Challenge aborted – staying in Ceuta overnight

As many of you will know, the Herkules was towed to Ceuta early this morning after severe weather meant that the spanish coastguard were called to assist the rowers . They attended with Salvamar vessel ‘El Puntal’. Julian and Sigurd are well and are staying in an hotel overnight. The Gibraltar Port Authority will be sending one of their launches over to pick them up during the course of the weekend, when the weather eases up. Will keep you posted.
What time frame are you referring to in the window of opportunity?

Hi Sigurd & Julian…….such bad luck that you have had to abort the journey, we supported you So much
for the courage that you were prepared to make this amazing journey. At least now you are both safe.
